Lab Head Analytical Development (m/f)

Profile:

• Supervise development/application of analytical methods, oversee structure elucidation
  
• Lead a team (MS, BSc level)
  
• Responsible for analytical development of selected development projects, i.e. development, validation, and application of analytical methods with emphasis on chromatography (HPLC, GC, GC-MS) and NMR, IR, and UV
  
• Supervise operation/maintenance of the equipment in the laboratory, and train team members
  
• Support to research chemists for NMR/spectroscopy
  
• Structure elucidation and verification of unknown and synthesized/isolated compounds for all Basilea Projects
  
• Write analytical development sections of regulatory documents (CTD preparation)
  
• Write of and work according to analytical operation procedures abiding especially the GMP regulations
  
• Ensure acquisition of know-how and maintain a profound expertise especially in spectroscopic methodology and technology
  
• Communicate internally/monitore external partners
  
• University degree in chemistry/pharmacy or equivalent (PhD level)
  
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in analytical development (pharmaceutical industry)
  
• Know-how in state-of-the-art method development pharmaceutical analysis
  
• Profound knowledge in cGMP
  
• Experience on spectroscopic methods with emphasis on NMR structure elucidation will be a plus
  
• Knowledge of analytical software tools (e.g. Topspin, Empower) and office software
