Research Technician - Crystallization and Biophysical Characterization (m/f)
The postholder will be trained on different biophysical characterization techniques and is expected to perform crystallization experiments. He/She will operate and maintain the equipment, and participate in the training of users. The successful applicant is expected to provide day-to-day support to the EMBL and international user community that will use the facility for routine and designed experimental services.
Applicants are expected to have a bachelor degree in a relevant field (biology, chemistry or related disciplines). Working experience in biotechnology or biochemistry is essential. Experience in protein purification using ÄKTA systems, knowledge in protein crystallization and/or the use of biophysical instrumentation will be considered advantageous.
