ATCC Field Applications Specialist (m/f)

Job Purpose:

The purpose of this position is to drive sales of the ATCC products in Europe within the specific areas of responsibility. These are techno-commercial positions to support the products and the ATCC brand in the field and to deliver seminars and 'white coat selling' to end user scientists. These positions will also be charged with delivering high level relationships with key customers and opinion leaders in the field and to use these relationships to further enhance the product portfolio of the ATCC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivery of Revenue Target for the Region
  • Sales and support of Cell Biology and Microbiology products from the ATCC range
  • Customer visits, Seminars and webinars
  • Attendance at tradeshows and generation of leads for local sales offices
  • Management of key pieces of ATCC business
  • Work in combination with the sales office field sales team to enhance the ATCC offering and drive sales to the targeted key and growth accounts.
  • Champion the ATCC brand
  • Work closely with the technical sales manager and the tactical marketing manager to execute on local and ATCC strategies
  • Support and ensure delivery of new product launches
  • Scout and develop novel markets in line with ATCC and LGC strategic development
  • Implementation of tactical marketing activities within the region
  • Identification of new cell lines, new microbial strains, new technologies and new product opportunities to augment the current ATCC range
  • Feedback of market information to central LGC ATCC team and to ATCC
  • Solution focused, Can Do attitude
  • First level Technical support and troubleshooting in the field
  • Training of customers, Sales Specialists and Field Sales

Person Specification:

  • Ideally a higher degree in Life Sciences with significant laboratory experience either in a cell biology or molecular biology environment. Applicants with a Master's degree and laboratory experience will also be considered.
  • Commercial experience within the Life Science market is highly desirable either in field sales or technical services.
  • Polish / Russian / English speaker. German is a plus.
  • Experience in one or more European country is also highly desirable as is knowledge of additional languages.
  • The ability to empathise and communicate with Life Scientists on a peer to peer level is essential.
  • Familiar and successful within a matrix organisation with an inclusive way of working, while being able to work efficiently in autonomy
