Chemist (m/f)

The Chemist is responsible for conducting experiments for synthesis and formulation of new products and evaluating their performance using oilfield standard testing equipment and setups. They will develop, support and enhance laboratory test methodologies for critical evaluation techniques as well as develop new and innovative products and chemical technologies for general oilfield chemical applications. They will provide strong support to the management team to ensure segment and corporate business innovation targets are achieved on a timely manner and will provide industry expertise in oilfield production chemistry or drilling, cementing and/or stimulation product lines.

The Chemist will collaborate with other global innovation teams, corporate R&D, technical sales and marketing, and manufacturing on innovation projects and will provide technical recommendations, creating highly professionally generated reports and presentations, for both internal & external customers. Along with these responsibilities they will provide high visibility for Clariant Oil Services within upstream oilfield industry professional community and events, provide strong commitment to upholding and advancing Clariant's commitment to safety and will build and maintain high standards and good working relationships with customers and key stockholders.

  • Masters Degree Preferred/Bachelor's Honors Degree required (Chemistry major preferred) from an accredited institution with relevant experience
  • Minimum 2 years industry experience
