Process Engineer (m/f)

  • BS or MS in Chemical Engineering or an equivalent degree
  • 2 - 10 years of experience in process technology, as well as in manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of process techniques in process design, manufacturing technology and automation of processes
  • Able to provide technical support in regard to process technology issues for existing production processes and projects
  • Can identify weak points in technical processes and is able to suggest technical solutions and improvements for these weak points
  • Must have an understanding of engineering work flow processes, support of production and maintenance functions and must budget time wisely as additional assignments are given based on experience in the process area
  • Excellent cooperation with Production, Maintenance and Technical Departments within the Business Group is essential for the success of this position. Management of 3rd party vendors (EPC companies, equipment vendors and construction contractors) is frequently required
  • The process engineer will manage the manufacturing recipes and play a key role in process controls improvements
  • Provide technical support to defined production areas (e.g. increase of a plant's availability, quality improvement, etc.) by implementing OEE and First Pass Quality improvement projects. Provide the scope for these projects, as well as prepare time schedules and cost estimates
  • Perform all routine tasks of a plant engineer independently, such as planning, initiating and managing routine operations troubleshooting and projects to improve and maintain the assigned plant area
  • May require assistance of experienced engineer when initiating suggestions for plant improvements in respect to the process, new equipment or expansion, etc.
  • Ensure successful completion of documentation for technical changes and projects under his management, including EHS documentation
