  • Doctoral degree in Biological Sciences
  • Excellent experience in Immunhistochemistry and Neuroimaging
  • Excellent skills to work with cell cultures including generation and culturing of primary cells, generation of stably transfected cell lines, virus-mediated overexpression of target genes and siRNA mediated knock down of target genes
  • Reat interest and experience to work with mice (FELASA certificates to work with mice are available)
  • Good knowledge in general cell and molecular biological techniques including cell culture, western blot and qPCR, cloning, transfection
  • Generation and metabolic characterization of genetically modified mice
  • Immunhistochemistry and Neuroimaging of target genes in tissue slides
  • Pharmacological in vivo studies in mice to assess drug effects on systems metabolism
  • Ex vivo tissue analysis of target genes including state-of-the art proteomic and transcriptomic approaches
  • Cell-based analysis of target genes to validate signal mechanisms and pathways on the cellular level (Seahorse analysis, siRNA mediated gene knock out, etc.)
