Scientific assistant (m/f)
We are looking for a scientific assistant who carries out the analyses of organic micropollutants and supports the experiments both in the laboratory and the field. We expect you to have a Master's degree in environmental sciences, chemistry or biology and hands-on experience with organic trace analytics. If you additionally like to work in an interdisciplinary environment and are interested in linking chemical and bioassay analysis, we strongly encourage you to apply.
The position is part of the interdisciplinary Eawag-funded project EcoImpact 2.0. The project investigates how stream biofilms respond to exposure of micropollutants from wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs), and whether such responses can be implemented in practice for evaluating the success of additional treatment steps to improve micropollutant removal. These questions will be studied in controlled flume experiments on WWTPs and in-situ field experiments.
The project is led by an interdisciplinary team bringing together natural scientists and engineers with different background. The starting date is 1 April 2019 and the project is scheduled for three years.
