Dr. Andreas Pickuth succeeds Wolfgang Hrosch in the management at InProcess Instruments Gesellschaft für Prozessanalytik mbH, Bremen (Germany). Twelve years after founding the company Wolfgang Hrosch is retiring from operative management, but will continue to be an active partner in an advisory capacity. Bernd Laser remains unaltered the managing partner responsible for the company's Production Department.

Dr. Andreas Pickuth, born in Hamburg in 1956, is a graduate physicist. He obtained his doctorate (Dr. rer. nat.) at the Institute for Applied Physics at the University of Hamburg. As a doctorand he already took great interest in high-vacuum technology, mass spectrometry and other analytical measurement techniques. In 1989 he joined Maihak AG, Hamburg, a globally acting company in the field of process and environmental engineering. There he worked as Head of Product Management and Application Laboratory, for the Department of International Business Development and, lastly, as Head of International Sales Management. After SICK AG acquired Maihak AG in 2000, Andreas Pickuth took on additional responsibilities in international market management and was appointed to a variety of Board of Directors positions of internationally active associated companies and subsidiaries, particularly in the Asian region.

With his background InProcess will strengthen their campaign for expansion into the markets of the Near East, the Middle East as well as Southeast Asia. The successful participation in the ArabLab 2010 recently held in Dubai, UAE, and in the analytic Anacon India 2009 in Hyderabad, India, were the first strategic measures in their campaign.

As a globally recognised company for online process gas analysis, the Bremen specialist for quadrupole mass spectrometry closed the difficult business year 2009 with stable turnovers and very good results. Despite noticeable reserve in the capital goods industry, Wolfgang Hrosch is very optimistic about the company's future.

"By consistently developing the technical and applicative functionality of our mass spectrometer systems, we will continue to successfully supply our customers with solutions for their sophisticated analytical applications. The excellent standing of InProcess Instruments in complex process gas analysis has further strengthened our position", says Wolfgang Hrosch and added, "Dr. Pickuth will continue to promote this development, successfully lead the company and broaden the markets in accordance with our business philosophy of highest product quality, reliable service and thorough application support."
